Trail Conditions:
There was a solid snowshoe track all the way to the summit via the Austin Brook Trail & Yellow Trail route. I met a hiker who had come up via the Gates Brook Road route and he reported that there was a solid snowshoe track up this way also.
Concerning parking at the Austin Brook trailhead, the lot is plowed. However, as of the day of this hike, it was like an ice-skating rink. There is adequate room to park on the shoulder of the road just a few yards west of the trailhead on North Road.
There were a few blowdowns, but all were easy to negotiate. The very small stream crossings were all quite doable.
