My friend Sean and I and David broke this trail to up to 3600 feet, very deep fresh snow so crampons, snowshoes and at least one ice tool is required. We went down through the same trail.
It was VERY exhausting and we hiked 9 hours, this is more of a mountaineering type of hike, lots of fun.
When you see a 'Y' fork please take the right trail.
Hope this could help other hikers to do this hike in one day.
Thanks,
Alex
