Mt. Garfield via Garfield Trail, Garfield Ridge Trail
Date of Hike: Sunday, May 24, 2009
Trail Conditions: Mostly dry trail, patchy snow and ice
Special Equipment Required: None
Comments:
As is well noted, trailhead is currently only accessible via the east end of Gale River Road, as west end bridges are still out.
Garfield Trail was mostly dry. All water crossings rock hoppable. No blowdowns. Some skeeters/black flies down low this evening, but not enough to need bug spray. Yet.
Garfield Ridge Trail to summit - patchy snow and ice at the beginning of the steeps, otherwise mostly dry. No blowdowns.
