No I have not been on this trail recently but here's the report from Zealand Hut (2700') on the Mount Washington Org site for today, March 30th. They report 22" of accumulated snow and:
"Below Hut: Packed w/ ice. Traction gear recommended. Above Hut: Packed w/ ice. Traction gear strongly recommended. NO SKIING on ZEAL. RD."
I would add that the valleys have been having temps way above freezing every day this week, with nighttime lows in the 20s to 30s. Tomorrow should get to 60F or above, followed by rain this weekend. That will soon be making for breakthrough postholing conditions higher up if it hasn't already so bearclaw snowshoes would be in order.
