Zealand Rd. was icy, bumpy, and crunchy. Hale Brook Trail was packed, firm, and hard. Some minor blow-downs. Someone had put some nasty post holes in the trail from bottom to top, probably when the snow was softened up yesterday. The trail would have been perfect today if they had worn snowshoes. I wore my micro-spikes the whole 10 miles. Snow shoes were not needed today. They called for sun but I never saw it until I was east of the Presi range. Nice talking to Steve and McRat today.
