AMC trip up Mt Jackson. Started at 8 AM under very light snow, which stayed with us most of the day.

Low down the trail was icy, and the spur to Elephant Head had a few sections where the "trail" was a river of ice. Stabilicers, put on at the trailhead, were perfectly adequate to deal with it.

Around 3,000 feet or so we noticed a substantial amount of snow on the trees; the first real "White Winter Wonderland" scenes of this winter. Moderate amounts of snow on the trail, no possible need for snowshoes.

The final approach to the summit was very icy, some of us had a hard time even with full crampons, the descent was quite an adventure for some of us :(

All in all a great trip, warm weather and minimal wind, even on summit. No distant views, but from the summit we could see the snow-encrusted dwarfed trees below us.
