Date of Hike:August 6, 2009
Trail Conditions: Trail in ok shape but surprisingly muddy throughout. No special equipment needed, but waterproof boots/gaiters or poles to navigate around the mud would be a plus.
Comments: I found the bridges throughout the trail in medicore to poor condition. Passed perhaps 15 parties on the trail, only one person had a dog (and the dog wasn't even carrying a "puppy pack!"). Weather was good throughout the hike, bugs only a small issue near the summit. Views were excellent. As I live in Cleveland and only get a few hikes a year in the Whites, I am calling this one a win.
