From the north end parking lot at Berlin High School, end of Madison Ave., walked a snowmachine trail for a short distance. Took a right on an old logging road which is also used as a snowmachine trail up to height of land. Short bushwack east leads to nice views south. Returned and headed west on wide trail to Mt. Jasper summit, above caves used by Native Americans (display of artifacts at Berlin library). Nice views of Mahoosucs, Carter/Moriah, Wildcats, and Kilkenny ranges. Used mini cleats on hard packed trails, a few inches of powdered snow. Regards, milanmilker
