Trail Conditions:
First and foremost, the crossing of the Israel River near the beginning of the Castle Trail was doable, but it did involve some rock-hopping.
The only other noteworthy item is that there was one large blowdown on the Castle Trail shortly south of the junction with the Israel Ridge Path. However, it’s easy to do a mini-bushwhack around it.
Oh! And given our wet summer (thus far), it should not be surprising to learn that there were some wet & muddy spots on both the Castle Trail and Caps Ridge Trail.
