Sorry for the delay.. No internet access yet at the house! Mt. Kinsman trail (off of 116 in Easton) was a bit icy at the bottom, but after 10-15 minutes, the snow covered all the slippery spots. snowshoes all the way up and down. Broke trail from the cutoff to bald knob to the ridge and up to North Kinsman. Last part of the trail (before the ridge) was a little deep, but tolerable. Ridge was well packed and only 4" of fresh stuff. (what a weird winter its been!)
(note: i know it was done a while ago, but the trailhead relocation is great! If you're heading AWAY from Franconia on 116, it is JUST after bode's tennis camp on the left. Kinda hard to see, but its a small dirt road that lead to a parking lot.)
snow all the way up, but easy trail breaking and only post-holed a few times (w/ showshoes on!)
No real views from the top, but still a nice day to be out. Ventured down to the KP shelter, but it was busy busy busy, so I headed back to the MKT to have lunch and change into a dry shirt.
