Mt. Lincoln and Lafayette via Falling Waters -> Franconia Ridge -> and Old Bridal
Date of Hike: 5/2/09
Trail Conditions: An icy monorail covered with granular ice along Falling Waters Trail on the way up, starting about half a mile from the trailhead till tree line. Water are high at the stream make a challenged crossing. All parts of the trail above tree line are clear of snow/ice besides a few small patches. Short patches of icy monorail covered with slush along the upper part of Old Bridal path.
Both up and down trails are wet and muddy and sometimes covered with streaming water.
Special Equipment Required: Any traction device is very isefull.
