Mt. Madison & Mt. Adams - 2/22/10
Trails: Ascended via Valley Way; went over to Adams via Airline; descended via Airline. (On the descent, we noted that the lower section of Randolph Path did not appear to be broken out.)
Conditions: Trails in great shape. Some blowdowns (one under, several overs, one walk around). Above tree line was completely covered in thick beautiful sheets of rime ice.
Equipment: Our group stayed in snowshoes all day... but crampons might have been easier on the summit bids. And I switched to light traction for the last part of the descent.
Misc: Reward of the season... an undercast on Mt. Adams
