A great hike rain or shine!
Ascended via Benton Trail to summit of Mt. Moosilauke. Descended the same way. RT approx. 7.2 miles. Trail is wet but suprisingly not too slippery, and very well maintained. When we reached the summit we were lucky enough to have 360-degree views and a bit sunshine. We never had to put on any rain gear and just encountered a few sprinkles. Black flies were brutal on the descent. Moose droppings here and there. I just love the start with all the maple trees.
Thank you to fellow GOers (all 14 of them) for making this a most enjoyable hike!
