The trail is mostly dry with occasional muddy spots below 3000 ft. Beyond that is a mixture of ice and deepening snow until treeline. Above treeline is mainly rock with occasional muddy areas. There are no blowdowns or problematic watercrossings. Most of the group used microspikes above 3500 ft, while a few of us used stabilicers without a problem. Snowshoes may have been helpful for short sections of deep snow, although we didn't see anyone using them today.
