Trail Conditions: Frozen granular, crust, blue ice, spring snow
Special Equipment Required: None today.
Comments:
Stony Brook Trail parking area adjacent Route 16 plowed.
Some small patches of blue ice down low. Trail generally frozen granular/spring snow. The two non-wooden bridge water crossings both still have snow bridges. Water bars have thawed out. Trail was firm and some were barebooting. Microspikes might be nice. Two remaining blowdowns.
Carter Moriah Trail mostly frozen granular/spring snow. No blowdowns.
Carter-Moriah Trail broken out heading to Mt. Surprise and heading to North Carter. Moriah Brook Trail not broken out.
