Trail a mix of wet leaves, a little running water, some mud, up high the usual location of mud pools, some black ice on the ledges and some very slippery boards across the boggy areas. No significant blowdowns. Streams a simple rock hop. The mighty tough little dog needed two quick butt shoves on the last set of ledges going up to the peak.
Only two others on my route coming up from Stony Brook TH, and one other with his dog came up from the north. He said he too had run into some black ice but nothing serious.
It was a fantastic day for November with great temps and nice views. Pepper's trip to the vet yesterday after conferring with a porkie turned out to be a great move; today couldn't be beat.
