Trail: Dicey's Mill
Conditions: Well packed out
Equipment: We used our MicroSpikes most of the day.
Comments: Light snow falling from time to time. Windy but not too cold. Water crossing in good shape. We saw only three other people and two dogs today. The first, an acquaintance, had started early and done the loop; she was on her way out as we were beginning. On our way out we met up with two hikers with two dogs, and a mystery was solved. We saw fresh sled tracks on the trail as we were heading down and wondered if it was a pulk, or what. Most of the time the tracks were clearly noticable, a few times, not so much. As we neared the end of the trail we saw them, carrying their sit-down sleds. They, too, had hiked Passaconaway but we missed them because they went around the summit loop, while we we up and down on the same leg.
