Had a great hike up Dicey Mills trail yesterday with my two sons. The first half of the trail was really wet and mucky- got me wondering if gortex boots would be worth it! After we hit the junction of Tom Wiggins trail it was less muddier but still quite a bit of water overflow onto the trail. The good news was hardly any bugs! Just a few mosquitoes around and none of us had any repellant on. It was definately worth the .3 mile hike down the view off the trail at the summit. Despite the overcast we could see for miles around.
Met a few campers along the river who seemed to be enjoying themselves. A great day and a great hike.
Had a nice bowl of french onion soup at Corner House Inn on the way back to I 93 which provided great comfort for the long ride back to Rhode Island!
