A great day for a snowshoe run in the mountains. The summits were socked in, but there was no wind to speak of. The crawford Path was well packed by snowshoes, which made it a breeze to get to the summit of Pierce. Once at the summit of Pierce I got some cool views of the sun trying to shine through the clouds. It looked like an eclipse.
The trip over to Eisenhower was a little icy in spots, but not too bad. Most of the Crawford Path from here on had been barebooted. There was a lot of ice on the Eisenhower Loop Trail. The summit of Eisenhower was a little breezy, but of course I was above tree line in the middle of winter.
I felt really good on the climbs and pretty good on the downhills. I made it to the summit of Pierce in 45:08, Eisenhower in 1:09:25, and the trip back down took 52:07 for a total time of 2:01:32.
