Date of Hike: 1/23
Trail conditions: Well-packed the whole way, until the final ascent up Mt. Eisenhower which was a little loose. No wind, so snow drifts weren't a problem, though there are a lot of blowdowns/bowdowns along the way to crawl over/under. Trail was easy to follow, though there were quite a few false paths along the ridge (all of which led to a quick backtrack). Amazing weather today with the clear views in all directions. 10 miles / 5 hours.
Special Equipment: I wore MicroSpikes to the summit of Pierce and then snowshoes over to Eisenhower. Realistically only needed the snowshoes on the final ascent up Eisenhower where loose snow was a little hairy.
Comments: Some pictures over at http://buchhomr.blogspot.com/2010/01/mt-pierce-mt-eisenhower-via-crawford.html
