Mount Pierce via Crawford Path. Date of Hike: Friday April 24th, 2009
Special Equipment: Microspikes and poles
Comments: Despite recent warm temps. the trail remains in relatively good condition. Some mud and cracked snow bridges at lower elevations. Monorail was firm with 3 inches of new snow above 2,000 feet. The hot sun melting the snowladen tree branches made for a wet "rainy" hike.
Note to self: always bring rain gear and pack cover even on a sunny spring day!
