This was also mentioned by a poster in the trip reports. From Abraham on 8/22 we saw a tower on Redington. The next day we climbed Redington via the logging road route from CVR and yes there is a new tower, with instruments and data logger. No sign of the wreckage of the old one and someone has been tidying up the summit area.

Not sure. We were at Redington summit on August 23. No pink paint then. Two days prior we started the bushwhack from S. Crocker to Redington but had to go back because it was pouring rain and one member of our group was starting to develop hypothermia. That day we heard motors and activity in the direction of Redington but visibilty was only 100 feet or so. On the 23rd walking towards Redington we met a couple of guys who we assumed to be workers returning to the CVR using an ATV. From the tracks it was clear that they had ridden to the small clearing where the herd path begins. While we didn't ask them we assumed they were working because we noted tools and they were dressed like someone out working.
