We followed Rocket21's solitary tracks to the summit (thanks!) and beat the trail down a bit more. Trail is now well-packed all the way. High Ridge Trail toward Faraway has not been recently broken.
Snowshoes are needed to prevent post holing.
I love introducing friends to the Ossipees and Mt. Roberts is one of the best for this. Sunny, comfortable day with long views and good trail conditions. Dramatic snow prints of the prolonged pursuit of a squirrel by an owl; hard to tell how it ended. Great day.
