Trails all in good shape with a few minor muddy stretches and a couple of blowdowns. Lower branch of Lake Solitude Trail up to the Lake is indistinct and requires care to follow for much of its length. The one crossing is mellow.
We wore orange vests...
Lovely hike through varied terrain and forest, including areas with stunning old-growth. Really interesting views of the Whites and some of our other playgrounds from an unfamiliar perspective. Views, particularly from the Lake Solitude outlook, are first rate. A nice (and short drive) change from the well-memorized trails of the 4K's.
