Trail Conditions: Snow- packed, hard, and crunchy, loud under snowshoes. Narrowly broken out to Sosman Trail, which we followed about ten minutes just to check out. No icy crust as I anticipated was possible. No trouble crossing streams.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes. We used them from the base up. Postholing only seemed like it might have been a problem once we began breaking trail, but the their traction was just right given the steepness of the route.
Comments: Fairly straightforward hike. Broke trail only from Sosman to the summit via the loop trail to the left. Pleasant trip. About 3 hours and 15 minutes round trip with side trail.
