Trail conditions: packed with some crust on top. Bumpy from constant frozen postholes.
A few areas where snow has melted enough for rocks to poke through. A few very muddy places, easily avoidable. Water crossings no trouble at all. Trees have NO snow on them, even at the summit.
Equipment: snowshoes -- optional. I wore mine all the way up, but removed them for the descent.
microspikes or other light traction -- helpful, especially near and at the summit. There's a bit of ice up there.
