Trail Conditions:
One of my adopted trails is the Mt. Tremont Trail. Today was the first opportunity I’ve had to do my spring clean-up of this trail. There was a recent “Trail Conditions” report on this forum indicating that this trail had blowdowns and debris. Well, the report was accurate. There certainly were a lot of both.

All the debris has been removed, and the blowdowns have either been removed or at least taken care of in such a way that hikers can pass over, under, or around them almost without breaking stride. So, if you hike this trail in the near future you will definitely still come across blowdowns. But hopefully, you won’t find them to be an annoyance. Sometime over the few months, I’ll eventually remove most of these blowdowns, however a Forest Service crew might be needed to remove some of the larger ones.

Oh! Please be aware that the traihead sign is missing, but there is a temporary paper sign that has been installed by the Forest Service.
