Volunteers are needed on Mount Wachusett to help clear trees downed by
December's ice storm. DCR professionals have used chain-saws to begin clearing the
trail. Now volunteers are needed to move the debris off the trail.

Central Mass was hit very hard by the ice storm, especially higher
elevations. It would be awesome if the VFTT community could send a contingent of volunteers. Helping with trail maintenance is important for regular hikers. It's also a lot of fun and good exercise!

Folks will be meeting at 9 AM on Saturday 2/28 at Mount Wachusett State
Reservation HQ on Mountain Road in Princeton.

I won't be there tomorrow as I will be up North.

The state park's phone number is 978 464-2987 if you have any questions in the morning.

I know this is late notice but I just saw this on another hiking board that a friend of mine who is an active trail worker had posted. I believe you can show up later but best to check to make sure.
