I was late at cog rail station about 2pm people were already down from the top I wasnt on my way yet, anyways I managed to get there and come back to the car where all signs were telling me I am back into the Antichamber of Hope - there was a guy clinging to his cell because he did fraud alert from his bank. I hope he didn freak out up there when he got this txt...
barebooted all the way to the tree line, from the tree line untill you cross cog rail is a mixed terrain with ice snow and rocks there is actually not enough ice sometimes for your crampoons
on the top is a dome of snow and ice crust
the way down was paintfull and horrible snow is pack and icy and you need to have your crampoons on it was like walking on heels. Finally I pierced one of my boots and felt into the bushes. The crampoons tooth did not get into meat so I consider myself lucky
VERY GOOD conditions and FAST, very warm I was in a tshirt half way up
if you get out early enough from your crate nice suntan guaranteed !
