Mt. Whiteface
Ascended via blueberry ledge trail, very well packed. AWESOME hike, lots of open views of Mt. Chocorua to the east. Trail is pretty sketchy the last mile or so. I used stabilicers for about half the trail and then decided to go a bit more aggressive with crampons. I would highly recommend crampons on this route. Bagged Mt. Whiteface, my 29th listed 4000+ footer in NH and continued on Rollins Trail over to
Mt. Passaconaway
Rollins trail was tough to follow as it seems no one had been there in quite some time. Plus the winds really pushed the trees into the trail. I broke a good portion of the trail along with some other guy doing the reverse route of me. Snagged Mt. Passaconaway for my 30th listed 4000+ footer. I took the Dicey's Milll trail down to the ferncroft road...that trail is real moderate graded and well packed in.
Total Mileage...~11.1 miles
Time.....~8.5 hours (breaks included)
