Hi All!
After a late start, Isabelle and I headed towards Marble Mt. The trail was wet at a couple of spots and only a couple of patches of snow here and there. Getting closer to Marble Mt, where it starts climbing, we encountered more wet snow which was kinda slippery at certain spots.
We continued on ... and on ... and on ... looking for Marble Mt. When we were 0.1mi from Lookout Mt, we thought to ourselves: Jesus, doing these 2.2 mi is taking forever! We stopped for lunch and took a quick reading on the map and sure enough we confirmed we had missed the turn. Moral was high again!
Where the trail joins the Mt Whiteface Memorial Highway, we opted to go up the road since we didn't have our crampons and the trail was rather icy from this point on.
We had awesome views all around Whiteface. Great day, great weather, great company!
