Mt. Willey via Ethan Pond Trail, Willey Range Trail
Date of Hike: Monday, May 18, 2009
Trail Conditions: Most bare ground, some patches of snow/ice up high
Special Equipment Required: None
Comments:
Ethan Pond Trail to Willey Range Trail - snow and ice free, fairly dry. One blowdown will likely require an axe, a few others remain. Water crossings no problem.
Willey Range Trail to Mt. Willey - snow and ice free until around 4,000', then a few patches (you can walk alongside the monorail). A bit wet/muddy/slippery in a few places. I took out a bunch of blowdowns, but a few still remain. Water crossings no problem.
