Trails were unusually uniform at all elevations with an inch or so of fresh powder over a well-packed surface. A few stretches of the Willey Range Trail toward Mt. Willey had some blown in snow and postholes from previous hikers. We took care of a couple of blowdowns; nothing bad left. Crossings were all safely frozen.
We all wore Microspike ST's and they were ideal for the conditions. We carried snowshoes but didn't use them. Some traction advisable.
Another beautiful day with changing light and great views from the usual places. Voracious Gray Jays on Willey and Tom.
