Trails: Basin-Cascade, Cascade Brook, Kinsman Pond, Kinsman Ridge, Fishin' Jimmy, Lonesome Lake

Trail Conditions: Until there is a significiant snowfall you will need traction. Parts of the Cascade Brook, Kinsman Pond, Kinsman Ridge, and Fn' Jimmy Trail have some treacherous ice spots which makes for slow going. Use your microspikes or greater and use caution. The water crossings on the Basin-Cascade Trail, Cascade Brook, and Kinsman Pond Trail have ice and snow on rocks but still rock hopable. The Cascade Brook footbrdge is no longer there and is the most difficult but you can still rock hop with care.

Special Equipment: light traction (microspikes, hill sounds), poles would have been very helpful too!

Comments: Great day on the trails with a fun group of hikers, ice made it really adventerous but fun and we were rewared with excellent views from South Kinsman! Pics / Report
