Date of Hike: Thur. 3-5-09
All trails were well broken and packed. A really nice snowshoe track all the way to South Kinsman. I wore snowshoes all day. Crampons not needed, although I brought them along for Ballast. One young lady passed me as I stopped at the hut. She barebooted most of the way until the North Cone, where she switched to snowshoes. Other than the usual traffic to and from the hut. Just two of us on the mountain today. Really nice sunny day with not much wind. Mt. Kinsman Trail didn't appear to have been broken. But, it was hard to tell with some drifting at the jct. Kinsman Ridge Trail to the Cannon Balls was not broken from the Jct. of the Kinsman Pond Trail.
