new 4k patch

MY 4k patch is very old and I would very much like to replace it, can this be done and how? Thanks in advance for any help. By the way, I still have my original signed declaration that I received with my patch, if I need to show proof of my standing.

The Mountain Wanderer usually has them, or you can probably just order them from the committee. You might include your name and date of completion should they care, but I doubt they do since they are sold at The Mountain Wanderer.

FWIW, only the 46R's sell their patch.

Looking at my certificate of completion here on the wall and I see "Steve Smith" on the third line

Does he look you up? I'm not sure. I know people seem to have a spare to hand out on the summit of other people's 48th.

Sometimes I think Steve has "total recall" because whenever I go in he knows who I am! I love going in to the Mountain Wanderer, but don't happen to be able to do so all that often.

Tim, are you sure that Steve sells the AMC patches at The Mountain Wanderer? I went in there about a year ago thinking he sold them, but he didn’t. He had decorative mountain patches, and T-shirts with the AMC4000-patch logo on them, but not the patches themselves.

I think he may have said, after I’d asked, that selling them might be a good idea, so maybe he is offering them now, I don’t know. I haven’t had the chance to stop in there this year.

Definately for all. I bought one in the Mt Wanderer 2-3 years ago, and was worried that I didn't have proof of my membership with me. Steve said membership was not needed to buy a shirt.

I had the information this afternoon, about the 4k patch and the 4K T-shirt directly from Steve Smith. Steve is the owner of The Mountain Wanderer and also Vice Chair of the Four Thousand Footer Commitee.

For the patch:
I do not sell the patches at the store.
For the T-shirts with the AMC4000-patch logo:
You do not have to be a 4K finisher to purchase or wear the shirt.
