Aren't you worried about your estrogen levels?

No matter which way this comes out, I'm not getting rid of my Nalgenes...gotta support those Rochester businesses!

"While the kidneys of mature children and grown-ups quickly eliminate the chemical from their bodies, newborns and infants may retain it for longer periods."

-- No, I'm not worried. I use my nalgenes like once a week for a few gulps of gatorade or water. I'm not going to run out and waste money for no good reason other than irrational paranoia.

Just before reading that article or just before drifting off I was drinking out of my ole purple Nalgene bottle.
I was thinking, this thing smells kind of funky and I washed it in the dish washer this weekend. Then, I said to myself, self, my mouth tastes funny too. So I went to the bathroom and looked at my tongue, it was PURPLE and my eyes were yellow. Then I started to feel really weak, and blacked out.
When I came to, I was on a spaceship, a thousand miles from earth, sitting in a chair with a Nalgene bottle in my hand!!

Have a Happy Halloween everyone.

Here's a news story about the FDA's conclusion regarding BPA. Another panel concluded the FDA was in error.
Unfortunately, the article doesn't say much about the "other panel". This one is similar but gives a little more detail on the panel: http://abcnews.go.com/Health/story?id=6137213&page=1

Two summaries of scientific reports suggesting the possibility of harm in humans: http://www.sciencenews.org/view/gen...opular_plastics_chemical_poses_further_threat

It would appear that more evidence is emerging suggesting the possibility of harm due to BPA exposure in humans. (Some of the earlier evidence was from lab animals.)
