Attached is a local newspaper article excerpted from the recent (May 27, 2009) edition of The Courier (Littleton, NH). This is the first of a two part series by Mike Dickerman about a Littleton area hiker (Dorothy Corey) who recently completed her multi-year section hike of the Appalachian Trail.

PLEASE NOTE: Since the original posting, the second of the two parts has become available. So, both Part 1 and Part 2 are now attached below.

Thanks for posting that - I know Dot and used to hike with her, especially in winter, but have lost touch. Glad to hear she's still on the trails -

Glad to hear you found the article to be of interest. It is a very captivating story.
I’ve also done a couple of hikes with Dorothy a few years ago, and I can well imagine her undertaking the type of adventures described in the article. She’s a strong hiker and quite a remarkable person.
