Trail Conditions For this time of the year, trail is amazingly dry. Almost no snow all along. Lower section: some little mud spots where small streams. Middle section: dry. Last section approaching top (around 3,500') three short stretch of snow easily managed (around 50-100 feet long each). Saw a group of six in running shoes; seemed to have managed well.
Equipment Forget crampons, snowshoes even gaiters: we are head-on in summer conditions! Poles useful but not essential.
Comments Wonderful day! Tee-shirt and shorts for most of the hike. A nice 75F with pleasant wind on top. Bugs forgot to show up. Sunscreen needed.
