Trail was firm with crusted over snow. We started with snowshoes to avoid breaking through which also helped to avoid existing postholes as trail had been stepped out. All stream crossings were open and required some care to negotiate. Switched to full crampons when we reached the steeps after crossing into the wilderness area. From here up there were significant postholes and areas packed hard from sliding. Some small sections of ice on the climb to north peak but they were easily avoided. No significant blowdowns or bend overs.
Great day, blue skies and ice covered tree limbs glistening in the afternoon sun!
