Hiked the Mt. Kinsman Trail. Thought we would try out the new tralhead on 116. Ample parking for several cars. New portion of the trail was well marked with bright yellow tape, very easy to follow. Took the spur path to bald knob, well worth the .08 out and back. only blowdown of the day was shortly after the bald knob spur. too big for evan a Rocket mini saw, but it was easy to get over. Rest of the trail to the Kinsman Ridge trail and to both summits pretty dry and mostly bug free. Great views to Franconia Ridge etc. On the way out I spotted a familiar looking dog come over the rise and immeadiatley recognised it as the famous Tuckerman. It was a pleasure to meet The Feathured Hat and his trusty companion. Hiked out was pretty uneventfull.
