North Hancock, South Hancock via Hancock Notch Trail, Cedar Brook Trail, Hanock Loop Trail (CW)
Date of Hike: Saturday, March 21, 2009
Trail Conditions: Frozen granular
Special Equipment Required: Traction
Comments:
Hancock Notch Trail was barebootable. Two blowdowns. Last set of water crossings are open, but fairly easy to cross.
Cedar Brook Trail was barebootable. First two water crossings are bypassed via the herd path, other water crossings are still fairly solidly bridged. No blowdowns.
Hancock Loop Trail - Water crossings are still (barely for a few) bridged. I was able to do the loop on Microspikes, however they were definitely being pushed to their limits on descent. I removed all significant blowdowns on this stretch.
