Trail Conditions: Some ice on the trail from the campground parking lot to the Hut. Once above Lonesome Lake hut the trail is very icy.
Special Equipment Required: Micro-spikes - essential, Crampons - highly desired, poles - helpful (but also useless at times)
Comments: we had micro-spikes and we made it to N. Kinsman ... but there were sections where I wished I had my crampons. Some sections were slow going in micro-spikes. I wouldn't attempt it without some form of traction aid.
