Trails: Up Carolyn's Trail, Down Ted's Trail

Conditions: A few blowdowns but easy to follow.

Comments: Hadn't been up this way for quite some time so we thought it would be a good one to do since there were thunderstorm warnings and we didn't want to be too high and above treeline. If you are used to this being a 45 minute hike up via the Wapack Trail, this longer way takes a bit of getting used to as it is over 7 miles long. This time we went up Carolyn's Trail and down Ted's. Ted's Trail follows along a lovely brook for a long time, with some cascades and a nice waterfall and bridge. Water was low for our hike. We went over to the summit of North Pack and admired what for me seemed a newly rebuilt cairn, and the form of a four-foot high square. Nice hike but the day was very, very, very humid. Saw only one other person on the trail, and a few folk at the summit.
