Trail Conditions: All three trails were in essentially the same condition; packed down with 6"- 18" or so of fresh powder. All three trails were also extremely easy to follow with no blowdowns what so ever. Lonesome Lake is completely frozen over, with a path across it to the hut packed down. The Lonesome Lake Hut is open with a caretaker, and it made a great spot to warm up on the way up and down. The Kinsman Pond Shelter also made a great pitstop location. Great views from both summits.
Special Equipment: Full winter gear. Absolutely perfect conditions for snowshoes.
Comments: Saw several groups of people throughout the day. Met a few VFTTers at the Kinsman Pond Shelter. Enjoyed some cool conversation during lunch.
