Trails: North Twin Tr. and North Twin Spur

Skipped first two crossings via the herd path along the eastern bank of the Little River. The first looked possibly doable with dry feet but wasn't worth the effort when the herd path is a breeze. Some of the required rock-to-rock steps were pretty big and wet. Same for the second crossing. Third wasn't much of a problem but if the river was a few inches higher we probably would of been using the tree.

No ice yet on North Twin Tr, some wet spots came and went no problem. The top part of the trail has been brushed out since my last visit (7/06), looked fairly recent though. I remember the firs encroaching on the trail a bit back then, so that was nice. Thanks for your work if you adopters are out there reading!

North Twin spur had one small spot of ice coming down off North Twin but dry rocks provided an easy step over. So essentially no major ice on the entire route, which I imagine is a fairly common trend around the Whites given the recent warm up. Hence, no traction needed.

Views were excellent today and there was little to no wind, FANTASTIC. First time back to South Twin in 6 years, what a great peak.
