Madison, JQ Adams, Adams, Jefferson, Clay, and Washington Via Great Gulf to Osgood to Gulfside going over all the peaks down Lions Head to Tucks to Pinkhams Notch. Hitched a ride back to car which was parked at the head of Great Gulf Tr.
Spring is coming, below tree line hard packed snow. Ice and rock above. Bare booted to the top of Madison, I put on crampons and my partner put on stabalicers and we left them on till we got to Tucks below Lions Head intersection.
Beautiful clear day light winds in spots only. My termometer read 25 degree at the top of Washington. Great day in the Whites could not ask for a better day to do the traverse.
