Conditions: clear and dry at the start, about 2 miles in, the snow started accumulating. Ice has formed in the trails before the hut. Traction not needed, but was helpful (microspikes). Above the hut mostly snow, with rocks showing. Again, traction not needed but helpful.
Special equipment: None needed but microspikes were helpful. Poles would have been nice as well.
Comments: Beautiful wind free day, with a taste of winter to come. This is a great hike!
