I'm posting this here instead of the "Paddle Park" forum because that has a limited readership.
This weekend brings a confluence of conditions that bears watching. The forecast highs for my location for Thursday, Friday and Saturday are 92, 94 and 92, respectively. However, the water temperature two feet below the surface of Lake Winnipesaukee is currently 56.
None of you want to be in the water for any length of time at that temperature without a suitable wetsuit or drysuit. Most bodies of water have a long way to go thermally before they're swimmable. I suggest that that fact should be considered when contemplating any paddling plans for the next few days.
