RIVER CROSSINGS MAY BE VERY DANGEROUS! On Friday night, the Opalescent River was hip to rib-deep. On Saturday, severe t-storms rocked the area. We had whacked from base of Allen to Redfield, so did not need to cross the Opalescent later that day. However, the Opalescent above Lake Colden was in flood stage... within 4 feet of the bottom of the Opalescent suspension bridge near Lake Colden. With Flowed Lands Pond acting as a reservoir, I'd assume that the river below will be high for the next few days.
